St. Vincent de Paul promotes neighbors helping neighbors.  We are active participants and supporters of various community organizations and programs such as the Hunger Prevention Partnership, Empty Bowls, Dressed to Work and Portage County Administrators Volunteer Association.   Volunteers from the Portage County Retired Seniors Program and Community Industries work with us in our thrift store.

We also provide on-the-job skills and work experience to people from the Opportunity Development Center, Midstate Independent Living Consultants, W-2 and the Community Service program. 

We believe in educating the community about the benefits of volunteer experiences.  Our store has been rewarded by being able to work with  youth from many community organizations including - the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Teen Leadership Group of Portage County, local high school and college (UWSP) students and various church groups.
